Microsoft has announced that there are now 323 educators from the UAE are now The Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert, a number that has doubled in the past year. These educators join over 9,300 others in the MIE Expert program worldwide to share ideas, try new approaches and learn from each other as a global community dedicated to improving student outcomes through technology.

As an MIE Expert, educators build their capacity for using technology in both the classroom and curriculum to improve student learning, advise Microsoft and educational institutions on how to integrate technology in pedagogically sound ways and be an advocate for how Microsoft technology can improve learning.

“The way we teach and learn today has completely evolved in the past few years,” said Ahmed Ameen Ashour, Education Director, Microsoft UAE. “New approaches to learning – from collaboration tools to hands-on lesson plans and gamification, are some great examples of Digital transformation in education, and our educators are spearheading this journey. The Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts are an inspiration of how they are applying new ways to create powerful lessons and enables students to achieve more. We congratulate the UAE’s MIEEs in their continued efforts of making a difference – and celebrate their success in providing rich experiences in the classrooms – preparing today’s students for the future.”
