Are you participating in GITEX Africa 2023? What will be your theme of participation?
Yes, we will be at Gitex Africa. Acer is one of the world’s top ICT companies. Our focus revolves around enabling a world where hardware, software, and services fuse with one another to create ecosystems and open up new possibilities for consumers and businesses alike. Our main participation theme will be around modern PC technology for education, gaming, and business in Africa.
Which products and solutions will you be showcasing?
We will showcase how technological innovations can create new user experiences. Specifically, around our SpatialLabs solution which is Acer’s experience solution for delivering intuitive interaction and immersive sensation using advanced displays, sensory solutions, and the latest real-time rendering features. We will present our latest gaming PC – Predator Helios 3D 15 SpatialLabs Edition, which is Acer’s latest addition to its line of gaming laptops.
It utilizes the combination of SpatialLabs eye-tracking solution, stereoscopic 3D display, and advanced real-time rendering technologies to deliver a unique immersive glasses-free 3D gaming experience. Also, at our partner’s stand, you will find our newest TravelMate B3 Spin 11 notebook. The dependable TravelMate B series laptops let students get more out of their blended classroom experience hence earning the title of education champion of many recent educational tenders across EMEA.
What is your expectation from the inaugural GITEX Africa event?
Gitex exhibitions were always an important stop for partners in the Middle East and Africa. We expect Gitex Africa to be organized at the same high standards as Gitex Middle East, with high numbers of participants who will be looking forward to exchanging innovative ideas and becoming Acer potential partners.
What sort of activities have you planned around GITEX Africa?
Acer products will be on display at our two partners’ stands ( Mistumi & Devea ) and attendees will have a chance to experience a hands-on. We will be as well on the ground with numerous planned meetings with potential customers.
How will you use the event to strengthen your presence in the African market?
Today we have a strong team and successful business in South Africa, as well as a growing presence in SADEC, Egypt, North Africa, Uganda, and Tanzania. Our aim is to expand even further our presence by identifying more partners to collaborate with across the African market.
What sort of market and tech trends do you foresee for the African market?
As many verticals in Africa are expanding, we believe that the education sector will be a growing focus across the continent, and we are confident that we can tap into this sector with our expertise and solutions providing acer products that will support the technology growth of this young dynamic population.
