What are your expectations from the event this year?
Catch-ups with our friends from the channel and the customer side! We’re excited about coming back in person to GITEX, and having good, frank conversations offline without having to ask the person on the screen to unmute themselves!

Do you hope for a business relief from the event?
Our major focus areas as a business are digital transformation and sustainability, and demand for these areas is growing. What we are looking forward to is attending GITEX in person, as we’ve missed being able to engage with so many of our channel partners and customers. Given GITEX is the world’s largest technology event, we’re hoping to see many of our partners and customers in person, to sit down with them, talk through their issues and see what we can do to support their technology transformation efforts.

What will be your theme of participation at GITEX?
Our focus will be an “Of the Future” take on every business segment you can conceive, including industry, the fast-moving consumable goods area, energy, and data centers. Given the change over the past two years, it’s vital that organizations speed up their pivot to digital, and we are here to help with that.

Do you plan to run any online engagements such as webinars alongside GITEX?
We will be speaking at the GITEX Conference, on issues such as smart grids and how technology is changing the energy sector. We’ll also be focusing on the data center industry, and sharing with our channel partners how they can use hardware, software, and services to make data centers more efficient, scalable, and secure. With the increased focus on digital transformation, we want to ensure that our partners are able to support customers across the region with the right strategies, tools, and support for them to adapt to the increasingly digital world that we are living and working in. We will also be showcasing the Smart City Unified Operations Center from AVEVA, to showcase how technologies such as AI and big data can transform how an urban environment is run to make it more efficient, greener, and better for the public and businesses.

How have your regional strategies changed in recent months?
Schneider Electric has made a commitment to developing models of circularity to increase the longevity of the products we sell and the natural resources upon which they depend.  We are designing our products and processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and innovate and working with our suppliers to develop cleaner, more efficient manufacturing, packaging, and transport. As energy evolves, our clients are seeking help to set goals, develop strategies, and reach their targets across these domains through active energy management.
