Shraddha Mukul, the Marketing Manager at Sennheiser Middle East, says the industry that she works in is very agile, and the aspects of marketing are getting more dynamic with every passing day
Can you share a little bit about what it is that you do and what a typical day for you is like?
I am responsible for all the Marketing related activities of Sennheiser Middle East. As the Marketing Manager, my responsibility is to help my organization target the right customers and help the organization achieve its business goals.
Sennheiser is a brand that is driven by the passion to create audio solutions that make a difference. As a Marketing personnel, my day-to-day is involved in ensuring that our passion and promises are delivered to the customers via our marketing efforts and communications.
No two days are similar in my capacity of work. However, a typical day involves planning, executing, reviewing, monitoring, or improving an upcoming or ongoing campaign.
What first got you interested in the industry you work in?
Technology has always intrigued me; be it at work or home, I have a tech inclination. As far as my career dates, I have always worked in the Electronics industry. This industry is constantly evolving and innovating itself. Every day you learn a new thing, and that is what excites me about this industry.
What obstacles did you have to overcome?
I come from a Biotechnology academic background, vastly different from Audio/ electronics engineering. In the initial phases of working in the Audio industry, I struggled a bit to familiarize myself with the terminology and technical aspects of products and applications. Although not an expert yet, I find myself able to grasp better with each passing day.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career in the industry you represent? What do you wish you had known?
The industry that we work in is very agile, and the aspects of Marketing are getting more dynamic with every passing day. I welcome everyone considering a career in this industry and field, as each day brings new challenges and understanding. We fail and succeed as we learn on the go.
My advice will be to learn a lot from your failures and successes. Take ownership and work for the better. It is essential to work on the disease (the root cause of the problem) as a marketer instead of trying to solve the symptoms (temporary challenges).
Who is your role model?
My brother has always been my role model. He has always guided my path, and I always look up to him for support and motivation.
What do you do to unwind after work or over weekends?
I am a dancer and a certified choreographer. So when I am not at work, I am probably at a studio or on a stage, dancing it off.
