eufy’s new S330 eufyCam (eufyCam 3) is a two 4K wireless security camera kit. The cameras come with integrated solar panels, so you don’t have to worry about charging the cameras. The cameras also come with eufy’s very own self-learning AI technology called BionicMind.

Inside the package, you get two solar-powered eufyCam 3 security cameras, a HomeBase 3 data hub with expandable storage, a network cable, a 12V power adapter, a USB-C cable, two screw mounting bases, and three screw packs. eufy also includes screw positioning stickers, a metal reset pin, a quick start guide, and a welcome card.

Setting up the cameras with the HomeBase is quite simple. Download the eufy Security mobile app, which is available for both Android and iOS devices. Connect the Homebase to your router using the bundled LAN cable. Then fire up the app and follow the onscreen instructions.

It takes just minutes to set up the system and you are good to go. One of the standout features of the eufyCam S330 is the HomeBase 3. This device works like a server since you can install a hard disk drive into it. This storage is then used to record and store security footage.

This means you don’t have to ever sign up for a cloud-based storage subscription, as required by many security camera systems out there in the market.

Having your own personal storage also helps with privacy, since all the captured footage would be sitting in your home and not on some cloud storage owned by a third party.

Another standout feature is eufy’s self-learning AI called BionicMind. This technology will over time deliver 99% accuracy in recognising different people, as well as detecting pets and objects. With BionicMind, every time someone passes through the camera’s field of view, their face, body, and movements are sent to HomeBase 3.

The more information the new data hub receives, the more precise its analysis will become – according to eufy, the accuracy could reach up to 99%.

The HomeBase 3 uses edge computing technology which analyses user data and automatically curates and catalogues it utilising HomeBase 3’s free local storage. This creates a more efficient user experience where you have complete control over who can access your video footage.

The eufy Security app has also been upgraded, thus allowing you to manage all of your notifications and devices on one interface. Furthermore, HomeBase 3 comes with 16GB of free, 256-bit encrypted local storage. The data hub can also support up to 16TB of additional memory using an external hard drive.

Installing a hard drive is quite easy – just remove the top cover of the HomeBase 3, unscrew and slide the hard disk slot out, and then secure the hard disk in place. Make sure you have turned off the HomeBase 3, before attempting to install the hard disk drive.

The eufyCam 3 security cameras capture footage in 4K ultra-HD resolution. In addition, the cameras also come with night vision, two-way audio, a built-in spotlight, and a 13400mAh battery with an integrated solar panel for non-stop power.

The cameras also feature the latest outdoor home-grade specifications including colour night vision, motion detection, and IP67 weatherproof certification.

What’s more, the eufy S330 eufyCam is part of eufy’s new Edge Security System. This system, according to the company, will eventually be compatible with a number of other eufy Security devices such as Video Smart Lock, Video Doorbell Dual, Floodlight Cam 2 Pro, Solo Indoor Cam, and Door Sensor.

The overall performance of the eufy S330 eufyCam is top-notch. Everything worked really well and the footage captured was sharp and clear. In fact, of all the cameras I have tested, the eufyCam 3 system has one of the best-looking video quality.

Face recognition worked perfectly well. For face recognition, you can take a photo on your phone or you can look through your photos and select images of people you would like the camera to recognise, which is a plus point.

The eufy S330 eufyCam (eufyCam 3) costs AED 1699, which sounds quite expensive. However, the fact that it offers outstanding video quality and complete control over your footage, makes the eufy S330 eufyCam (eufyCam 3) well worth the money spent on it.
