GameSir is possibly a brand you have never heard of in the Middle East region. However, they have been churning out one quality product after the other in quick succession, on the global markets. The company recently sent me the GameSir G7 for a test drive, and we were satisfied by its performance.
The GameSir G7 is a wired controller designed for use with a console and PC. While on the surface, it may look like just another gaming controller, it does have some unique features up its sleeve. It comes with an interchangeable faceplate design that offers you infinite customisation options. This allows you to tailor the controller to your specific needs and preferences.
The GameSir G7 Wired Controller is a budget-friendly option for gamers who want a high-quality and customisable controller. Its wired design eliminates latency and battery concerns, while the interchangeable faceplates and customisable settings provide a unique and personalised gaming experience.
The controller also has mappable buttons on the rear and a comfortable, ergonomic design for extended use. Overall, the GameSir G7 offers the build quality and competitive edge of more expensive controllers at a fraction of the cost.
It also comes with a smooth and responsive joystick, fine-tuned triggers, and micro-switch-based buttons that provide an outstanding gaming experience.
In addition, by using the GameSir Nexus software you can indulge in more fine-tuning of settings and preferences of the GameSir G7. This gives you even more control over your gaming experience. You can save up to three profiles and the one you prefer for each game. The software also allows you to update the G7’s firmware.
For this review, we hooked up the GameSir G7 to a Lenovo Legion gaming laptop to test drive a Mercedes ACTROS 3363 in Euro Truck Simulator 2. The overall experience was just outstanding. The controller offered butter-smooth control and it was very responsive.
The GameSir G7 Wired Controller is designed for pro-level gaming. It features two additional back buttons that allow you to map valuable in-game actions on-the-fly, even in the middle of a game. This can be done without the need for any software, providing instant access to customised controls.
The XYAB buttons on the G7 controller also have a satisfying click and sit low for comfortable use. To enhance the gaming experience, the controller has four rumble motors – two in the triggers and two in the grips – for realistic kickback. In addition, the controller has a built-in 3.5mm audio jack and a mic mute button on the bottom for flexible gaming options.
For a price of $44.99, the GameSire G7 is not as expensive as some of the Xbox Elite controllers out there on the market. However, it does offer a good combination of customisation and functionality for a very pocket-friendly price point. The GameSir G7 Wired Customisable Controller for Xbox and PC thus comes across as highly recommended.
